Historical Walking Tour

The campus grounds of Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne provide not only an attractive setting but also contribute to the educational experience for students, faculty, and staff. The open setting is inviting to members of the community who wish to walk on the campus grounds for exercise and leisure. A self-guided tour (PDF | 9.09MB) provides an opportunity to view 40 significant exterior campus sites and to learn about some of the people whose names are associated with those sites.

Geocaching

IPFW offers geocaching as part of its 40th anniversary celebration. Geocachers use a global positioning system (GPS) unit and coordinates from the Internet to find treasures around the world. “The Old Stomping Ground” (IPFW’s geocaching) will lead cachers to interesting areas on campus and offer a little history of the university. Cachers can trade treasures, swap travel bugs, and explore the campus with information found in the caches. Sponsored by Root's Camp'n Ski Haus.
